DHS SBIR Road Tour coming to Florida and Puerto Rico
Florida and Puerto Rico small businesses in the research and development domain will have an opportunity to meet with the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program next week as part of the National SBIR 2019 Road Tour.
“We are continually seeking new opportunities to engage with innovators and the SBIR Road Tour provides DHS the chance to meet directly with innovative small businesses and discuss technology needs,” said William Bryan, DHS senior official performing the duties of the under secretary for science and technology. “I encourage small businesses to meet with us on this road tour and learn about opportunities to help deliver cutting-edge technology solutions to safeguard the American public.”
The Road Tour, sponsored by the Small Business Administration, is a national outreach effort that provides small businesses with the opportunity to learn more about how to do business with the federal government through the SBIR program. Multiple federal agencies, including DHS, will speak on how they execute their program and areas of research. Innovative small businesses are encouraged to participate in this opportunity and learn how to help address the homeland security challenges facing the nation.
DHS SBIR representatives will provide more information about the program and conduct one-on-one sessions in Miami, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Small businesses can learn more about each event through the following registration sites:
