Cubic names Matthew Pfrommer VP of strategic capabilities

San Diego, CA-based Cubic Corporation announced on November 14 that its Cubic Mission Solutions business division appointed Matthew Pfrommer as vice president of strategic capabilities. In this role, reporting to CMS President Mike Twyman, Pfrommer is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives; creating and operating a CMS innovation center; supporting CMS general manager strategic initiatives; as well as developing and incubating advanced technology solutions to create growth options for the business.

“Since joining Cubic last year, Matt has executed our business development initiatives simultaneously across the complex Department of Defense (DoD) decision process, which has allowed Cubic to take the lead in solving several key DoD capabilities gaps,” said Mike Twyman, president of Cubic Mission Solutions. “Matt’s new role will be instrumental for our growth as he will work across mission chains to lead strategic technology initiatives.”

Pfrommer has 24 years of experience in the military and defense industry. Prior to joining Cubic, he was a senior DoD Acquisition Corps Member serving in multiple roles for U.S. Army acquisition relating to project management; engineering; science and technology; as well as test and evaluation. Pfrommer has also held several roles in the aerospace and defense industry relating to the design, development and operational deployment of national asset mission systems.

Pfrommer earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.
