Chris Devens joins ACT I as business development director

Advanced Concepts and Technologies International, L.L.C. (ACT I) announced in January that Chris Devens has joined the firm as director of business development. In his role, Devens is responsible for building and maintaining the business development opportunity pipeline, establishing relationships with current and prospective clients and customers, and supporting capture and proposal development. In addition to business development activities, he manages some of ACT I’s current programs, with responsibility for cost, schedule, and performance metrics.

Devens brings over 30 years of technical experience in military operations and program management, including management of Oracle IT enterprise system development, application design, system integration, legacy application and data migration, and validation and deployment testing. Prior to joining ACT I, Devens was an operations and business development director at Camber Corporation.

“Mr. Devens’ unique combination of business development experience, leadership skills, strategic and tactical consulting, technical expertise, program management, and implementation ‘know-how’ to design and deploy new business strategies, execute mission-critical initiatives, and improve business performance provides ACT I the ability to enhance support to our current customers and achieve our corporate growth goals,” said Michael Niggel, ACT I CEO.

Devens retired from active duty U.S. Army service as an Aviation Officer,  flying UH-60 aircraft in support of numerous Army units. He holds a Master of Science in human resource management from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia.
