Chenega MIOS acquires SecuriGence
On August 7, Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation, announced that it has acquired SecuriGence, LLC, an agile, minority, and veteran-owned small business headquartered in the Washington DC metropolitan region, to be a part of its Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit. This strategic move will enhance the already diverse set of capabilities in the Chenega MIOS portfolio to include advanced systems engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity, and cloud/virtualization management.
This acquisition brings together two defense and intelligence contracting companies, with complementary strengths and company cultures. Chenega MIOS and SecuriGence emphasize a family-first experience for their employees, believing that when you put your people first, there is no limit to success.
“The addition of SecuriGence to the Chenega MIOS portfolio is a game-changer,” said John Campagna, president of Chenega MIOS. “SecuriGence brings well over a decade of exceptional service and support to the Defense and Intel communities. Their core competencies are a “wish list” of abilities that would normally be found in a Fortune 500 engineering house. Their leadership is well respected and admired throughout the DoD/Intel community. We welcome SecuriGence to the Chenega family with open arms.”
“Tai, Phil, and I, as SecuriGence leadership, could not be more excited to join the Chenega family,” said Michael Barnhart, president of SecuriGence. “In Chenega, we have found the perfect match, both from a business perspective and, more importantly, a cultural alignment between the two organizations. By joining Chenega’s large and impressive portfolio of companies and capabilities, we will have access to the resources needed to continue our growth in the federal space and are thrilled at the new opportunities this brings to our employees.”
