Army to host EWPMT Industry Day

On October 17, the U.S. Army announced an Electronic Warfare Planning Management Tool (EWPMT) Industry Day, to be held on November 10 at APG, MD. Registration is due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on November 4.

Product Manager Electronic Warfare Integration (PdM EWI), in collaboration with Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) and Project Manager Electronic Warfare & Cyber (PM EW&C), will host an industry day to discuss the planned request for proposal (RFP) for the EWPMT requirement. The planned solicitation will be available for competition among Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) multi-award IDIQ prime vendors. PdM EWI will intends to have a technical exchange with interested parties in response to the draft (RFP) released on 14 October 2022.

Industry day will take place on 10 November 2022 at Myer Auditorium, 6555 Surveillance Loop, Bldg. 6000, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005.

The goal of the event is to assist potential offers and their teaming partners in clarifying and aligning their efforts with the EWPMT requirements prior to release of the formal RFP in 2QFY23. This open forum will enable vendors to ask questions for clarification, operational understanding, and technical understanding and to allow PdM EWI to gain a better understanding of industry capabilities to further define requirements prior to RFP release.

EWPMT is a software application that gives Electronic Warfare Officers (EWO) and Electromagnetic Spectrum Managers (ESM) mission capabilities to plan, coordinate, manage, and de-conflict unit EW activities. It provides battle management for distributed, networked EW capability aligned with fires and synchronized air/ground electromagnetic spectrum operations across the intelligence, operations, and spectrum management areas of responsibility.

EWPMT software was developed through four (4) Capability Drops (CDs) in partnership with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) resulting in successful Developmental Test (DT) and Operational Test (OT) events in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021. Several operational units have been equipped with early versions of EWPMT and received associated training to support current operations. The initial release (Version 1) of EWPMT to all Army units became available in FY22.

The objective of this planned contract action is to provide a range of services necessary for the continued design, build, integration, testing, delivery, fielding, maintenance, configuration management, and sustainment of EWPMT. Version 1 serves as the baseline capability to field and for the continued development, integration of new capabilities, and support to software sustainment.
