Army posts RC-12X ISR aircraft sources sought
On November 13, the U.S. Army posted a sources sought notice for RC-12X Material Solution (Solicitation Number: W58RGZ18R0071). Responses are due by 4:00 p.m. CST on December 13.
This a Source sought announcement for market research purposes only, IAW FAR Part 10. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualification of businesses to compete and perform this requirement. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
The RC-12X Guardrail Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Aircraft is designed to support signal intelligence missions in theatres of action. The RC-12X aircraft were derived from RC-12N, RC-12P, and RC-12Q aircraft specified in the A24E Type Certificate as A200CT aircraft. The base RC-12N, RC-12P, and RC-12Q aircraft were modified with a Universal Avionics Dual FMS glass cockpit in the 2007 timeframe as part of the upgrade to become RC-12X aircraft. The RC-12X fleet consists of 19 aircraft to include additional parts to support tow (2) sets of spares. The solutions shall provide more accurate awareness of engine parameters and feedback being captured by the currently installed Altair Engine Trend Monitoring system to the pilots.
