Army posts CASL RFI
On June 23, the U.S. Army posted a request for information for communications accessory suite – land (CASL). Questions from Industry are due on July 6 no later than 5:00pm EDT. Responses to the RFI are due no later than 12:00pm EDT on July 26.
THIS IS a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY for communication ancillary devices / systems which are interoperable with the Next Generation Handheld (NGHH) radio and capable of meeting the basic requirements described below. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources for planning purposes and to gather feedback from industry on the technical characteristics and recommendations for process improvements. Responses to this notice are not considered as offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information / demonstration models presented, or the use of any such information.
The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research Development, and Engineering Center (NSRDEC), Program Manager Special Operations Forces – Survival, Support, Equipment Systems (PM-SOF SSES, Natick, MA is seeking information for test and evaluation purposes of communication ancillary devices for the Communications Accessory Suite – Land (CASL), that are capable of meeting specific Performance Specifications:
Manufacturers who believe they have system(s) capable of meeting the above requirements are requested to submit a short (no more than 5 pages total per system) summary, including description (nomenclature, part numbers), performance information, pictures and website (if available) for each communication ancillary system and subsystem.
