Altamira wins US Navy GeoReadiness contract

McLean, VA-based Altamira Technologies Corporation announced on October 30 that it has been awarded a $6M prime contract to maintain and sustain Geographic Information System (GIS) and the GeoReadiness Explorer (GRX) for the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast (SE). Under the multi-year contract, Altamira will deliver critical on-site technical support for GEOINT systems that drive enhanced decision making and facilities management in the Installation and Environment (I&E) domain across the US Navy.

Work on the contract supports the NAVFAC SE GeoReadiness Center (GRC) mission to improve situational awareness and enhance Naval Shore Readiness through geospatial products and services. Altamira’s geospatial and GIS experts will perform technological analysis, installation, deployment, and migration at Naval facilities throughout the southeastern United States.

“With this contract award Altamira builds on our commitment to delivering high-quality geospatial services to drive enhanced decision-making for our customers in the homeland security space,” said Jonathan Moneymaker, president of Altamira Technologies. “This strategic partnership with NAVFAC SE enables us to leverage our mission-centric GEOINT capabilities in support of a broader range of stakeholders throughout the national security community.”
