Air Force to hold Space Superiority Systems Directorate Industry Day

Air Force 112On November 20, the United States Air Force posted details about its upcoming Space Superiority Systems Directorate Industry Day, which will be held on December 9. Registrations are due no later than December 1.

The Space and Missile Systems Center, Space Superiority Systems Directorate (SMC/SY) will be hosting a one day forum to communicate its’ development planning efforts on Wednesday, 9 Dec 2015, from 0800 to 1600 with the opportunity for brief one-on-one meetings the following day, Thursday, 10 Dec 2015, from 0800 to 1700. The event will be held at the Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) level. This Industry Day will provide interested parties with insight into SMC/SY’s capability gaps and technology needs across the space control enterprise. SMC/SY will highlight the space regime threats and current space enterprise planning that is used to fill capability gaps in a contested environment. SMC/SY will discuss capability needs and where analysis is informing areas of future potential government expenditures in technology development. SMC/SY will discuss efforts ongoing with the Joint Space Operations Center (JSPOC) operator community to assess capabilities and identify battle management command, control, and communication (BMC3) gaps in the space enterprise.
This forum is not tied to a specific acquisition effort and there is no government funding allocated for attendees to support. This event is designed as an informational meeting only. The Government will offer the opportunity for brief one-on-one meetings the following day, Thursday, 10 Dec 2015, from 0800 to 1700. Please include a request for one-on-one meetings with your registration request to Capt William Palm by Tuesday, 1 Dec 2015. Questions via telephone, aside from security clearance and access questions, will not be accepted. The Government requests that attendees submit follow-up questions via email through the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) to Capt William Palm at William.Palm@la.ic.gov no later than 17 Dec 2015, although the Government is not required to respond. If the Government provides a response, it will be posted via Intelink to the SY external link on the SMC/IN JWICS site. All questions and answers are subject to being shared with all that have access to the SMC/IN JWICS site. Participants without JWICS access should contact William.Palm@us.af.mil to attempt alternate arrangements.
Who Should Attend: Industry and Government parties interested in space control and future space superiority technologies. Small businesses are highly encouraged to attend.
Location: The event will be held at the Aerospace Corporation A-8 Michael Daugherty Meeting Center, El Segundo, CA. Please arrive no later than 0730 for badging at the door of building A-8. Parking will be available off of the Douglas Street Aerospace gate. Specific arrival instructions and maps will be emailed to those attendees that have successfully registered.
Registration: Registration is required to attend and is limited to TWO (2) attendees per company.  A waitlist will be formed on a first-come basis for companies requesting more than 2 attendees.  Companies with multiple business units should deconflict attendees to the 2 person limit and submit names separately to the wait-list.  Wait-listed attendees will be notified of registration status by email no later than 3 Dec 15.  Please register by sending an email with the names, email address, and company name of the attendees to Capt William Palm at William.Palm@us.af.mil no later than Tuesday, 1 Dec 2015. Late registration requests will not be accepted.
