The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate provides standardized enterprise-wide network-centric operations including but not limited to data and services, commuting infrastructure, and communications across the entire United States Air Force (USAF).
In order to standardize the Asset Management (AM) business processes we are seeking information on candidate technical, organizational, and business process solutions to transition to an as a service model. This model will leverage commercial best practices for performing asset management of Information Technology (IT) assets (hardware and software).
The USAF intends to resolve long standing asset accountability and configuration product baseline deficiencies to account for assets currently in operation. This solution would include both a business management process and cloud-based technology enabler that will standardize AM throughout the asset’s entire lifecycle. The goal of this innovative approach is to realize improved compliance, standardization, and cost reduction through leveraging industry best practices of IT AM, and to provide agile IT business services.
