NGA wants technical support for its ‘Terminal Operations Program’

NGA cockpit info The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has issued a solicitation for a commercial integrated system that can help maintain the agency’s “Terminal Operations Program,” which provides time-sensitive Safety of Navigation aeronautical information and data to the U.S. Defense Department.

“It is NGA’s goal to automatically render DoD Terminal Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs), Standard Instrument Departures Procedures (SIDs), Standard Terminal Arrival Charts (STARs), and Airport Diagrams from NGA data source holdings maintained within this Geospatial Terminal Operation (GTO),” says the agency’s notice.

Because the NGA is witnessing “a significant increase in the demand for complete worldwide Terminal procedure coverage,” the agency feels it needs to transform the way it produces this material, the notice explains.

The selected contractor must demonstrate its ability to identify, install and support commercial software solutions that offer these required capabilities.

Interested prospective vendors have until February 28 to respond to NGA’s Request for Proposal (RFP).
