On September 23, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) posted a request for information (RFI) for an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Tool. Responses are due by 11:00 a.m. Eastern on October 24.
DCSA, an agency of the Department of Defense (DoD) headquartered in Quantico, Virginia, provides security services to the DoD, Military Components, Executive Branch Departments and Agencies, and approximately 10,000 cleared Contractor facilities under the direction, authority and control of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. The DCSA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) provides automated information systems and telecommunications in support of this mission.
DCSA is conducting market research to identify potential solutions for modernizing OCIO’s EA capability. Specifically, DCSA is seeking information from vendors offering Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) EA platforms and associated services that can provide enhanced collaborative modeling capabilities, improved governance and traceability, seamless integration with existing systems, and robust security compliance.
The purpose of this potential requirement is to obtain a solution that enables standardized architecture modeling, system integration, and compliance with federal security requirements. The solution will support strategic planning, business process modeling, system documentation, and collaboration across various stakeholders within the agency. This modernized EA capability is essential for DCSA’s broader digital modernization and data strategy, aligning with DoD enterprise architecture policy, zero trust mandates, and mission-driven transformation initiatives.
