Expedition Technology gets investment from Razor’s Edge and Enlightenment Capital

On September 9, Expedition Technology, a developer of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) powered Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) solutions for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD), announced a strategic investment from both Razor’s Edge, a national security-focused technology investment firm based in Northern Virginia, and Enlightenment Capital, an Aerospace, Defense, Government & Technology investment firm based in the Washington, DC area, to accelerate the company’s growth across the signals and geospatial intelligence domains.

The newly formed partnership brings two of the most experienced investors in national security technology together to support Expedition’s continued delivery of next-generation C5ISR solutions to critical national security customers.

“Expedition has pioneered AI-fused SIGINT and GEOINT capabilities for the national security mission for over 10 years. Expedition’s mission focus and solutions are exceptional,” said Peggy Styer, co-founder and managing partner at Razor’s Edge. “We look forward to working with Marc and the Expedition team as they continue to solve hard problems.”

“Expedition is at the forefront of leveraging AI, ML, and data fusion to transform the modern mission set,” said Jason Rigoli, partner at Enlightenment Capital. “We are excited to partner with Marc and his team to scale these capabilities across the national security community, and to accelerate the Company’s vision and growth through our partnership and strategic investments.”

“Razor’s Edge and Enlightenment Capital each bring unique capabilities to the table, from strategic scaling to deep technology roots in the national security space,” said Marc Harlacher, CEO of Expedition Technology. “I am thrilled to enter this next phase of growth with such a powerful combination of partners.”
