NGA releases HIFLD RFI
On January 7, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) posted a request for information for the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD) program. Responses are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on February 5.
NGA in support of the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD) program has a Statement of Work (SOW) titled “HSIP_FY21_SOW_BusinessPoints” that contains requirements for a Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD) Business Points data set. The vendor shall provide the required geospatial data layers over the following Areas of Interest (AOI):
- The 50 United States and the District of Columbia (3,806,000 sq. miles)
- U.S. territories & commonwealths: Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain information on current industry offerings and capabilities that would meet NGA’s mission requirements.
NGA is seeking to acquire foundational business records at locations where the primary use of the structure(s) and land is associated with one of the 17 priority business sectors as defined in the SOW. All data shall be spatially accurate and correctly coded to the appropriate priority business sector. Spatial inaccuracies and/or mis-coded data will be evaluated and identified as discrepancies. Additionally, core attribution shall be completely populated. NULL values in the attribution will be evaluated and identified as discrepancies. NGA requests a data sample over the entire state of Virginia. This sample shall adhere to the requirements outlined in the SOW.
