Concurrent offers expert-level training in multi-channel video services
Concurrent, a provider of multi-screen video delivery and media data intelligence solutions, announced on June 6 a new expert-level training and certification program for multi-channel video service providers that equips video engineers with the knowledge and skill sets required to launch, operate and maintain the latest multi-screen video technologies.
“Our service provider customers are increasingly interested in launching their own over-the-top services and gaining a competitive edge in the multi-screen video market”
Concurrent’s Multi-Screen Video Certification Program targets engineers in the service provider market that are interested in advancing their understanding of IP content delivery networks, adaptive bit-rate technologies, over-the-top solution architectures, and multi-screen video applications, such as network-based digital video recording. Students who successfully complete the course will achieve the status of Certified Multi-Screen Video Engineer.
“Our service provider customers are increasingly interested in launching their own over-the-top services and gaining a competitive edge in the multi-screen video market,” said Rick Lopes, vice president of services and solutions engineering at Concurrent. “In addition to adopting new technologies and video architectures, service providers must upgrade the skill sets of their existing team members to ensure they are prepared to deploy and support these new systems. With a more knowledgeable engineering workforce, service providers can better execute their multi-screen video strategies, speed their time to market for new applications and deliver the best possible consumer experience on every screen.”
Concurrent’s professional services organization has provided world-class instruction and guidance to technology companies for over a decade, says a company news release. Concurrent’s expert level training courses are designed for experienced video engineers who are interested in refreshing their skills and learning the latest technologies. Given the challenges of keeping pace with the latest technologies in a rapidly changing marketplace, Concurrent offers extended training programs that enable engineers to maintain a cutting-edge skill set by receiving periodic training updates on industry and technology trends.
Courses can be held at Concurrent’s training facilities or at the customer’s site. Class sizes are kept small in order to make the learning more efficient and allow ample time to interact with each student.
