US Army adds Technica to $250M cloud modernization contract

Technica Corporation, based in Dulles, VA, announced on March 20 that the Army’s Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS) has selected the company as a provider for the $250 million Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation (ACCENT) Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA).
Under ACCENT, Technica will support the US Army in transitioning its systems and applications to FedRAMP-certified commercial cloud hosting services or an Army Enterprise Hosting Facility (AEHF). This contract is in direct alignment with the Army’s data center consolidation strategy, with goals of a 75 percent reduction by 2025.
“Technica is excited to be onboarded to the ACCENT BOA, which provides access for Army and other DoD capability owners to take advantage of our proven abilities and deep knowledge in migration of enterprise systems and applications to commercial or DoD-hosted cloud environments,” said Doug Sickler, vice president of business development for Technica. “As a long-standing, trusted IT engineering partner to DoD agencies, we are pleased to extend our reach to the Army.”
