Altamira announces Rod Fontecilla as CTO

Altamira Technologies Corporation, based in McLean, VA, announced on January 9 that Dr. Rod Fontecilla has joined the company as chief technology officer.
As CTO, Fontecilla will drive the company’s robust innovation program, assess new technologies that can be utilized to solve customer mission challenges, and oversee Altamira’s Communities of Practice, according to the company.
Most recently, Fontecilla was a vice president at Unisys, where he built and led their global data analytics practice. Over his career he has also led application modernization, cloud development and migration, cyber security and a variety of technology assessments and implementations as a technology leader. Fontecilla will report to Ted Davies, Altamira’s chairman and chief executive officer.
