xG Technology appoints John Procacci as vice president of sales for its xMax and IMT business units
xG Technology, Inc. (“xG” or the “Company”) of Sarasota, FL announced on August 1 the appointment of John Procacci as vice president of sales for its xMax and Integrated Microwave Technologies (”IMT”) business units. In this position, Mr. Procacci will have responsibility for leading the sales organization at xG Technology, and will have both the entire IMT sales team as well as xG commercial sales team members as direct reports. He will also work in concert with cross-functional teams that include marketing, product development, operations and support to design and deliver superior communications solutions to clients.

John Procacci brings over 25 years of successful sales and business development experience representing technical product manufacturers, with 12 years focused on engineered products targeting DoD and Federal program requirements. Most recently, he served as Business Development Director at Mercury Systems, a leading commercial defense electronics company, where he drove growth across business lines by selling comprehensive solutions across the sensor processing chain. Previously, he served as Business Development Manager at IMT for their MAG (Military, Aerospace & Government) Division. In this position he was responsible for new market penetration for digital video transmit/receive solutions, with a specific focus on DoD and government customers for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and covert surveillance applications. Prior to that, Mr. Procacci served as Business Development Manager at Crane Aerospace and Electronics, where he spearheaded sales of microwave component and subsystem solutions to DoD prime contractors.
Mr. Procacci also holds memberships in the following professional associations: Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI); Association of the United States Army (AUSA); Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA); and National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).
