Vencore appoints IC veteran Steven Omick Applied Communication Sciences president

????????????????????Chantilly, VA-based Vencore, Inc. announced on December 3 that it has appointed Steven Omick, Ph.D.  as president of its Applied Communication Sciences (ACS) research and engineering lab located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.  An 18-year veteran of the intelligence community, Dr. Omick has had numerous roles of increasing responsibility throughout his career in the design, development, and advanced engineering of high-technology solutions and large-scale program management.

“Steven Omick brings a wealth of knowledge and mission-focused leadership experience to Vencore,” said Vencore President and Chief Executive Officer Mac Curtis. “His deep understanding of the complexities that challenge our customers, combined with his ability to lead the development of high-impact solutions will provide a direct benefit to our client base.”

Dr. Omick succeeds Brent Greene, who previously announced his retirement. “We are grateful for Brent’s leadership and dedication in garnering numerous successes during his tenure and providing exceptional service to our customers in both the federal and commercial sectors,” said Mac Curtis.  “We wish him the best during his well-earned retirement.”

Prior to joining Vencore, Dr. Omick was the president and chief executive officer of Rincon Research Corporation, a scientific and engineering research company providing a broad range of services and products to the U.S. Government, with a particular emphasis on digital signal processing.

Dr. Omick holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a master’s degree specializing in power and control systems, and a doctorate specializing in computational electromagnetics from New Mexico State University.
