USSOCOM issues geospatial predictive analysis RFI
On December 11, the U.S. Special Operations Command issued a request for information (RFI) on geospatial predictive analysis. Questions are due by 12:00 p.m. Eastern on December 21, and responses are due by 12:00 p.m. Eastern on January 19.
The USSOCOM is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping all Special Operations Forces. Established in 1991, the Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SOF AT&L) Center, located in Tampa, FL, is responsible for all USSOCOM research, development, acquisition, procurement, and logistics. SOF AT&L works closely with government, academia, and industry in meeting its mission to provide rapid and focused acquisition, technology, and logistics support to Warfighters, delivering the most effective capabilities to our Special Operations Forces.
USSOCOM has a global mission and global joint intelligence support responsibility. The Pattern Analysis Section (PAS) provides geospatially-based predictive analysis support to the Headquarters, components and Theater Special Operations Commands’ (TSOCs) operational mission-planning requirements. JICSOC PAS primary specialties combine analytical expertise in predictive geospatial analytics, All-Source (AS) analysis, and Socio-Cultural Analysis (SCA). The team’s assessments provide enhanced fusing multi-sourced empirical data into predictive, geospatially-based characterizations of interest areas supporting SOF mission sets.
The objective is to provide SOF Senior Leaders, mission planners and deployed SOF with a robust analytical capability to accomplish geospatially-based predictive analysis which supports Time Sensitive Planning (TSP) initiatives, Advanced Force Operations (AFO) activities, Common Operational Picture of the Environment (COPE) assessment development, and National Intelligence Priority Framework (NIPF) requirements in consonance with USSOCOM Counterterrorism (CT), Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (C-WMD) and Irregular Warfare/Unconventional Warfare (IW/UW) mission requirements. The contractor shall perform strategic and operational multi-layered analysis and Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (IPE) providing a SOF-specific capability in understanding of the operations and methodology of Violent Extremist Organizations (VEO), Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCO) and WMD facilitation networks.
