USAF extends deadline for Classified Data at Rest RFI

On January 11, the U.S. Air Force extended the deadline for responses to the Classified Data at Rest RFI. Responses will now be accepted until 4:00 p.m. Eastern on January 25.

The United States Air Force requires a solution for the protection of classified data at rest
(DAR) for a variety of unmanned airborne ISR applications. This RFI contains guidance, questions to be answered, requirements governing the solution, and a system model. An electronic system model (Cameo) of the required solution is available upon request. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research on potential replacement options for the current data at rest encryptor solution, which due to  a combination of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage (DMSMS) and system requirements, is not a viable data at rest solution for future systems.

This RFI seeks to conduct market research on existing solutions and/or solutions realizable in
the near term (FY19-20) either through the modification of existing encryptor systems or development of new encryptor systems for utilization as the classified data at rest solution for a variety of airborne ISR systems. The encryptor solution must be NSA-Certified Type 1 for TS/SCI and below for unmanned systems.
