USACE to hold small biz industry day

On January 2, the U.S. Army posted an invitation for its upcoming USACE St. Louis Small Business Industry Day Event.

The US Army of Corps of Engineers (USACE) in St. Louis is excited to present the 2018 Small Business Industry Day Event on the 27th of February, 2018 from 9:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST). This event will be held at the St. Louis County Library located at 1640 S. Lindberg Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63131.

The event will provide Industry the opportunity to not only network with the Government but also with other small and large business contractors. Also, this event will provide contractors a chance to learn about Small Business and Contracting topics from speakers such as, Mr. Gary Alexander with the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Mrs. Patricia Voss (Chief of Contracting) with the St. Louis Corps of Engineers, along with other Government speakers.

Finally, this event will provide contractors the opportunity to schedule one-on-one’s with St. Louis USACE partners to discuss upcoming opportunities. Contractors will get a chance to briefly present their capabilities and have the opportunity to ask specific project questions. The one-on-ones will start approximately at 1:00 p.m. and during this time contractors will also be able to network with other Government agencies such as SBA, Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Procurement Technical Associate Center (PTAC) representatives from MO and IL, Mr. Ted Bealer (Director of Operations, Contracting Squadron) with United States Air Force (USAF) 375th Contracting Squadron, Carla Bean (Small Business Specialist, Office of Small Business) with National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), along with other US Corps of Engineers Districts Small Business Chiefs from Rock Island, Kansas City and Louisville to discuss their upcoming projects.
