Tim Meehan named SVP and GM of CenturyLink Government

Tim Meehan 112CenturyLink, Inc. of Monroe, LA announced on January 5 that Tim Meehan has been named senior vice president and general manager of CenturyLink Government effective Jan. 1.

Meehan previously served as vice president of sales for the east region and financial services industry as well as for inside sales for CenturyLink Technology Solutions. He brings extensive knowledge of CenturyLink’s cloud, colocation, managed services and IT solutions to the federal market.

CenturyLink offers public, private and hybrid cloud solutions that support the on-demand computing, storage, platform and application needs of federal agencies. By supplying cloud and managed hosting services over its carrier-class network, CenturyLink is able to provide government agencies with the security and reliability they need to carry out their missions.

“Tim is an experienced team leader who brings a wealth of strategic, organizational and technical skills that will benefit our federal customers,” said Kenny Wyatt, CenturyLink’s senior vice president of business solutions. “He takes the reins from Lisa Bruch, who served as CenturyLink Government’s acting senior vice president and general manager for the past six months. Tim’s fresh perspective and vision, coupled with our strong federal team, should help CenturyLink continue to grow our federal business in the years to come.”

Prior to joining CenturyLink, Meehan served as head of North American sales for Oracle Corporation’s cloud hosting unit and as vice president and general manager of various business groups within Oracle Consulting during his 15 years there. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant specializing in systems technology and process improvements.

Meehan received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in information systems from Northeastern University.
