ThreatTrack Security, a provider of cyber threat prevention solutions that substantially change how organizations respond to cyber-attacks, announced on August 26 the appointment of Stuart Itkin as its new chief marketing officer.

Itkin previously led global marketing at fast-growing startups and large public companies, including CEB, Kronos, Zebra Technologies, Lucid and Symbol Technologies.

Itkin has more than 20 years of executive marketing experience at a variety of technology and software companies. Previously, he served as CMO at the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) and at Kronos.

Most recently, Itkin served as an advisor and interim executive to early and growth-stage businesses and as a marketing mentor and advisor at MACH37, a vertical accelerator focused on launching the next generation of information security companies.

“Stuart brings us the best of both worlds — he has led marketing at fast-growing startups, like ours, and at large established companies,” said ThreatTrack Security President and CEO Julian Waits, Sr. “With the recent launch of ThreatSecure, we are setting a new standard in threat prevention that combines best-in-class advanced threat detection with powerful automated remediation. The next few quarters will be filled with additional product roll-outs and enhancements that will redefine how enterprises defend themselves from today’s sophisticated threats. Stuart’s leadership will be a tremendous asset as we continue to solidify ThreatTrack Security as an industry leader.”

Itkin is an active speaker on industry and marketing topics at seminars and conferences worldwide. He earned a B.A., M.A. and ABD from the University of Illinois in research psychology, computer science and mathematics.

“Not a day goes by where we don’t see headlines trumpeting the latest data breach or major exploit,” said Itkin. “It’s clear that something has to be done, and I believe ThreatTrack Security is in a position to help large enterprises combat the advanced threats they face on a daily basis. The prevention market needs innovative, nimble companies with a proven history and pedigree to match, and that’s what we have here. It’s time to turn the tide against purveyors of data breaches, and I look forward to working alongside Julian and the rest of the management team to roll out new solutions to these difficult, very real and critical challenges.”
