ThreatTrack Security appoints John Lyons president

ThreatTrack2 112ThreatTrack Security – a Reston, VA-based leader in cyber threat prevention solutions that substantially change how organizations respond to cyberattacks – announced on February 10 the appointment of John Lyons as President. Lyons, a proven security industry veteran, will lead worldwide commercial and government operations, and report to the company’s Board of Directors.

Lyons is an accomplished security executive with more than 20 years of experience. As President, Lyons leads global commercial and government operations for all product lines, including the company’s advanced threat defense solutions and its VIPRE endpoint protection and antivirus products.

Prior to joining ThreatTrack, Lyons was Vice President of Sales for the Americas at Tenable Network Security, where he helped take that security company from an emerging vendor to a market leader in the vulnerability management sector. Prior to Tenable, Lyons held sales leadership positions with several other security and IT firms, including NetIQ, Seagate Software, VERITAS, Peopleclick and Xerox. He has successfully led sales and channel operations across U.S. commercial and federal sectors, as well as international markets. Lyons earned a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
