SRA International, Inc., a provider of IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, announced on April 10 that the company has successfully secured a contract to provide IT infrastructure and operational support to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) Information Systems and Technology Services (ISTS) office.

The five-year contract is worth $148 million if all options are exercised.

GAO is the U.S. agency charged with ensuring that federal organizations are held accountable for the judicious and effective use of taxpayer dollars to the benefit of the American people. By nature of its mission, GAO has significant mobility needs and ISTS is the office within GAO responsible for providing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, applications and systems employed by the agency.

In a federal environment characterized by reduced budgets and increased demand, SRA will provide ISTS and GAO at-large with innovative, efficient, and cost-effective IT infrastructure support and operational services to further the agency’s evolving information framework. SRA will also assist in identifying and implementing improvements to current business processes to help ensure continuous development.

Paul Nedzbala, executive vice president of SRA’s health and civil group commented on the award, “SRA has supported GAO’s critical missions since 1998. We have a deep understanding of the organization’s charter and goals and we are proud to lend our expertise to help GAO achieve mission success.”
