Splunk appoints Snehal Antani as Chief Technology Officer

Splunk Inc., San Francisco, CA-based provider of the leading software platform for real-time Operational Intelligence, announced on May 18 that it has appointed Snehal Antani chief technology officer (CTO). As CTO, Antani will work with Guido Schroeder, senior vice president, products, and Stephen Sorkin, chief strategy officer, to direct the long-term vision for Splunk technology across Splunk’s rapidly expanding cloud, mobile, on-premises and hybrid offerings. Antani will report directly to Godfrey Sullivan, Chairman and CEO, Splunk.

Antani previously served as CIO for multiple divisions of GE Capital. As CIO, he was responsible for driving business transformation, blurring the lines between business and IT, and cultivating disruptive ideas for competitive advantage. Prior to GE Capital, Antani served in numerous IT strategy and technology roles at IBM, including Emerging Technologies Lead Architect and Private Cloud Strategist. He is a named inventor on 10 U.S. patents and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University and Master of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
