SPAWAR seeks white papers for Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (A- PNT) solutions

SPAWAR 112On April 10, the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) posted the following request for information (RFI) (solicitation number SPAWAR_Headquarters_MKTSVY_10155E). Prospective vendors should note that responses are due no later than 12:00 Pacific on May 8.

SPAWAR, in support of the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I) Communications Program Office (PMW/A 170), and Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 6.0 is seeking information from industry on approaches, products and/or solutions for the development and implementation of an Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (A- PNT) Navigation Suite.

The Government anticipates an A-PNT Suite will be an ensemble of navigation sensors and systems that may use internal and external references. The Government is specifically interested in solutions that do not require an extra- platform data link to provide valid PNT information. The A-PNT Suite will compute and provide uninterrupted PNT information with a degree of accuracy sufficient to meet mission requirements.

This RFI and a subsequent Industry Day planned for 2 June 2015 will assist the Government in developing an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to support future acquisition planning and activities. The Government is in the material solution planning stage only for this technology and has not incorporated the A-PNT requirements into a Government Program of Record (PoR). The Government is conducting this RFI and Industry Day to assist in the analysis of technologies and solutions for use in future acquisition planning activities.

Interested parties are requested to respond in writing to this RFI with a white paper. Details regarding the format and content of white papers are contained in the RFI document. White papers are due not later than 1200 Pacific Time, Friday, 8 May 2015. Respondents interested in attending the Industry Day on 2 June 2015 must make reservations in writing in accordance with the instruction contained in the RFI not later than 14 May 2015.
