SPA awarded $94M NAVSEA PEO IWS 2.0 contract
Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) received a $94 million follow-on prime contract award with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS). As part of the contract, SPA will help the Above Water Sensors Program Office (known as PEO IWS 2.0) develop and field state of the art above water sensors for the U.S. Navy. PEO IWS 2.0 is responsible for development, fielding and sustaining radar, electronic warfare, decoy, electro-optical sensor systems and Directed Energy systems for U.S. Navy surface ships.
“PEO IWS 2.0 enhances the U.S. Navy’s flexibility and capability while increasing warfighter diversity against the evolving threats facing our armed services,” said Dr. William Vantine, president and CEO of SPA. “SPA will deploy domain expertise in advanced sensor systems to assist the Navy in delivering these complex systems to the fleet.”
This third quarter 2017 award is a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract, with a base year and four one-year options and represents follow-on work for SPA.
