Navy to host COMOPTEVFOR Industry Day

On July 24, the U.S. Navy posted an Industry Day Announcement for COMOPTEVFOR. Registration closes at 3:00 p.m. Eastern on July 30 for the August 1 event.

The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk will hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference (Industry Day) to solicit ideas and information on the most cost effective method to contract for Technical Services for Operational Test and Evaluation (OT and E) capable of meeting the Government’s technical support and delivery requirements. The purpose of the Industry Day is to gather market research for FLC Norfolk to make decisions regarding the acquisition strategy for the anticipated Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR) services.

This requirement is for technical services including Documentation Review, Test Planning Support, Cyber Test Planning Support, Operational Test Design, Test Analysis and Reporting, Test Operations Support, Modeling and Simulation Support, and Program Management Support at COMOPTEVFOR locations.

The contractor shall furnish all labor, management, supervision, and reports necessary to provide technical support needed to accomplish the mission of COMOPTEVFOR.

FLC Norfolk is holding an industry day to solicit information and share ideas on how to reduce technical, schedule, and programmatic risk for test programs with high volatility that are beneficial to both the Navy and industry. The topics to be covered include how the Government can achieve maximum value while supporting operational testing in a dynamic work environment and to determine if there are new and innovative approaches to the requirement that may be of interest to the Government.
