SOSi wins OSC contract
On June 21, Reston, VA-based SOS International LLC (SOSi) announced it was awarded a five-year, $7 million contract to provide strategic security cooperation advice and assistance to the Office of Security Cooperation (OSC) at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. SOSi has supported the U.S. diplomatic mission in Iraq since 2015.
“Our team is adept at navigating and understanding Iraq’s intricate political and security organizations,” said Frank Helmick, SOSi’s senior vice president for mission solutions. “We’ve established incredible relationships with both the OSC leadership and their Iraqi ministry counterparts, and we take pride in enhancing collaboration to advance the mission.”
SOSi’s program team regularly liaises with Iraq’s Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Counter-Terrorism Service, Peshmerga, and the Prime Minister’s National Operations Center.
“SOSi has helped build institutional capacity in Iraq under a number of U.S. Government programs since the mid-2000s,” said Julian Setian, SOSi’s president and CEO. “Iraq is an important ally of the U.S., and we’re proud to continue supporting the strategic security cooperation relationship between our two countries.”
