SES selects Monics Enterprise From Kratos to expand satellite fleet RF monitoring capabilities
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. of San Diego, CA announced on January 10 that SES has selected Kratos’ Monics® Enterprise to expand RF monitoring and interference detection capabilities across its fleet of over 50 geostationary satellites.
The latest product in the Monics family, Monics Enterprise was developed for satellite and network operators seeking to scale their RF monitoring capability to track an increasing number of RF signals, support a growing number of dispersed monitoring sites and keep pace with new technologies such as HTS. Monics Enterprise offers a suite of advanced monitoring capabilities that can be added to an existing Monics implementation.
SES recently added Monics Enterprise to take advantage of features that better address an increasingly complicated interference monitoring and detection environment. Chris Grogan, SES senior vice president of customer service delivery, said, “SES serves customers operating across a number of market segments, supporting the distribution of video and providing global connectivity, and these services continue to grow in scale and complexity. The additional capabilities of Monics Enterprise will help us manage and harmonize our global monitoring network, enabling us to provide increased levels of support and enhanced quality of service for our customers.”
