Richard Johanning named Future Technologies government solutions VP

On January 26, Future Technologies announced that Richard Johanning has joined the team as vice president of government solutions. Johanning has over 28 years of dedicated leadership experience in the Defense, Federal Contracting, and Industrial Technology sectors. He brings a unique “Hunter-Architect” approach to Future Tech, expertly bridging the gap between complex RF physics and high-level mission strategy, according to the company.

His career has been driven by tackling some of the industry’s most challenging connectivity and security problems. Before joining Future Technologies, he worked at Amentum as director of enterprise solution architecture, where he led early-stage capture strategies for national security missions. Previously, as vice president of mission solutions at Finch AI, he helped integrate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into defense workflows.

Johanning served as a technical director for the Joint Electronic Warfare Center (JEWC) and held a GS-15 leadership role at the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence (OUSD(I)), managing Information Operations policy. He is also a recognized thought leader, previously serving as vice chair of the INSA Critical Infrastructure Subcommittee.
