Prescient Traveler released in NGA GEOINT App Store
Chicago, IL-based Prescient announced on December 7 the release of its Prescient Traveler Mobile Application in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) GEOINT App Store. Prescient Traveler’s placement in the store allows Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) personnel with a Common Access Card (CAC) to download the application directly to an approved mobile device for complimentary use all over the world.
The application, which serves as a traveler safety tool for both domestic and international travelers, is equipped with features that provide users with advanced, real-time situational awareness to help avoid high-risk areas around the world. These features include:
Country & City Risk Overviews – Concise, actionable risk and cultural information and visuals for more than 650 locations around the world.
Proximity and Threat Alerting – Real-time alerting based on your proximity to street-level risk zones and your chosen travel locations.
Interactive Maps – Global map that displays your position in relation to street-level, city-level and country-level risks, as well as all threat and significant events currently active around the world.
“We are excited to partner with the NGA to support this critical mission and propel force protection into the future,” says Prescient CEO David Walsh. “The technology powering Prescient Traveler will allow unit leaders to provide a much more relevant and personal level of care to their most important asset, their people.”
The Prescient Traveler Mobile Application is available in the GEOINT App Store for both Android and iOS. CAC holders must sign up for a disadvantaged user account by clicking the “Sign Up” button on the store’s home page and following the instructions to sign in.
