NGA seeks GEOINT access portal

On September 30, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) posted a request for information (RFI) for a Commercial GEOINT Access Portal. Responses are due by 4:00 p.m. on November 1.

NGA, in support of the NGA Source Office, is seeking information on a contract requirement to provide the products and services that decision makers, military service members, and first responders need, when they need it most. As a member of the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD), NGA supports a unique mission set. NGA is committed to acquiring, developing and maintaining the proper technology, people and processes that will enable overall mission success.

The purpose for this request for information (RFI) is to conduct market research on current Industry capabilities and technologies that would meet NGA’s requirements and to initiate a dialog with Industry to discuss technical ideas and approaches to shape the overall technical approach to satisfy provide a web-based commercial imagery (CI) and product discovery, visualization, exploitation, and delivery solutions.

The NGA is exploring the possibilities of a Commercial GEOINT Access Portal (CGAP), formerly the Worldwide Geospatial-Intelligence Access (WGA) program. The program will provide a web-based commercial imagery (CI) and product discovery, visualization, exploitation, and delivery solution providing worldwide access to CI that is timely, accurate, medium/high resolution (Ground Sample Distance).
