NGA releases PiX follow-on RFI
On September 11, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency posted a follow-on request for information (RFI) for the Protected Internet eXchange (PiX) program. Responses are due by 12:00 p.m. Eastern on October 16.
The NGA in support of the PiX program seeks information on how an interested contractor could provide technical expertise and support the Operations & Sustainment (O&S) of an unclassified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)-accredited, password-protected environment for collaboration and sharing information.
The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information on current Industry capabilities that would meet NGA’s requirements identified in the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS).
NGA has a mission-critical need for the O&S of PiX, a password-protected system that allows approved users to securely collaborate and access unclassified data and imagery to provide mission support. PiX provides such an environment by allowing user to report, collaborate, and find information outside of the normal Department of Defense (DoD) networks and is accessible from any network capable device.
PiX provides support to many organizations for knowledge management, research, deconfliction and situational awareness. The PiX Operational System currently resides in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud environment and provides the appropriate level of services to address security and system availability.
