NGA posts Star Sapphire update

On September 18, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency posted an update on the Star Sapphire solicitation.

THIS IS AN UPDATE TO THE SOURCES SOUGHT (REQUEST FOR INFORMATION-(RFI)) ANNOUNCEMENT POSTED ON May 15, 2018. This update is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This update to the informational purposes only and does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the National Geospatial Agency (NGA) is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals.

The Star Sapphire solicitation continues to progress. NGA is in the process of finalizing a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and leveraging a use case approach to refine the requirement for:

*Structured Observation Management (SOM) User Interface (UI)

*Storage

*Computer Vision

NGA may seek further industry engagement through the release of a draft Request for Proposal and/or Industry Day.
