NGA posts Lantern RFI

On July 26, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Analytic Orchestration Services Program Office  posted a request for information for the agency’s Lantern effort (Solicitation Number: HM047618R0043). White papers are due no later than 10:00 a.m. ET on August 13.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in support of the Analytic Orchestration Services Program Office, expects to deliver a next-generation Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) product production service for intelligence producers through the GEOINT enterprise in NGA, across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and eventually across the Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG).

At present, the absence of an enterprise production system forces NGA intelligence producers to use a patchwork of legacy systems. The services and support of these systems are counterintuitive, or antiquated, and are insufficient in meeting mission needs.

Accredited Lantern capabilities will reside in Top Secret, Secret, Unclassified, JWICS, SIPRNET, and NIPR environments and will provide dissemination capabilities between domains.  The system is forward deployed to unattached users.
