NGA posts Building Information Model RFI
On March 15, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency posted a request for information for Building Information Model (BIM) Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Standardization. Responses are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on March 20.
NGA recently adopted building information modeling (BIM) into its existing facilities life-cycle process of design, construction, renovation, and facility management in order to achieve higher performance facilities with fewer resources and lower risk compared to using traditional practices.
NGA is seeking information on how an interested contractor would approach with the creation of BIMs and incorporate into Revit and ARCHIBUS. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain information on the vendors who could provide the services listed in the DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS).
NGA is requesting industry input for the development of Revit and AutoCAD governing tools and templates for facility stakeholders.
