New leadership at BAE Electronic Systems
Arlington, VA-based BAE Systems, Inc. announced on December 1 that Dan Gobel, president of the Electronic Systems sector, will retire from BAE Systems, Inc. effective December 31, 2014. Tom Arseneault will assume the role of president for Electronic Systems on January 1, 2015, while retaining his positions as the chief operating officer for BAE Systems, Inc. and member of the BAE Systems executive committee.
“During his tenure, the company has benefitted from Dan’s stewardship, passion for our customers’ missions, commitment to our people, and extensive knowledge and experience,” said Jerry DeMuro, president and CEO of BAE Systems, Inc.
Arseneault’s appointment allows the company to leverage his years of leadership experience with Electronic Systems and its legacy businesses, while preserving the essential skills he brings to the COO role.
“We have tremendous confidence in Tom’s proven abilities to lead our business sectors and drive flawless program execution and technological innovation across our broader U.S. and global organization,” said DeMuro.
