NAVAIR to host NANS industry day

On January 21, the Naval Air Systems Command posted an announcement about its upcoming industry day and technical interchange meetings (TIMs), to be held on February 19 and 20. Registration closes on February 14.

This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) notice for planning purposes only.  This RFI is issued for determining potential technologies and capabilities to consider for the future of the Navy.

 Naval Aviation North Stars (NANS) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Industry Event 2025

NAVAIR’s Mission Integration and Special Programs Office (MISPO/PMA-298) is hosting a series of TIMs within the framework of an Industry Event in order to provide opportunities for Industry to learn about the technology needs of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) enterprise with the potential for follow-on briefings regarding technologies that industry has developed.

PMA-298 released two Broad Agency Announcements; the first was released 31 August 2023, and the follow-on was released 04 September 2024. The BAA seeks white papers for research and development, to include rapid prototyping, demonstration and experimentation projects that offer potential for advancements and improvements in Integrated Warfighting Capability, specifically potential solutions that achieve or enable the Naval Aviation North Stars. NANS Industry Event 2025 Details

The Naval Aviation North Stars BAA and PMA-298’s Industry Event will take place on 19 & 20 Feb 2025. This Industry Event will consist of the following: DAY ONE of the event will be held at the Collateral SECRET classification level and will be in-person only in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. TIM events will follow in the afternoon. DAY TWO of the event will be at the Collateral SECRET classification level with several TIM sessions at SECRET or higher targeting specific solutions to fill capability gaps within the Warfighting Integrated Framework. Day 2 will be in-person only in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.

Topic areas will be identified in the registration form and available for selection and align to the Naval Aviation North Stars BAA. Day 1 Details – 19 February 2025 – Government Brief to Industry (SECRET Clearance Required)

“DAY 1” of the Industry Event will consist of the Naval Aviation North Stars BAA overview. Day 1 will also include SECRET level briefings and panel discussions/Q&A from Government representatives. This opportunity is open to military, government and industry U.S. Citizens with a final SECRET clearance. Only contractors or sub-contractors performing a current DoD or Federal Intelligence Community contract with a valid DD254 will be allowed to attend. A current DD254 authorizing access to national intelligence information with block “10.e(2)” or both blocks “10.e(1) and 10.e(2) marked along with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Information “10.g.” and Foreign Government Information”10.h” will be required to attend the Threat Brief at the classification level of SECRET//NOFORN.

The Afternoon of “DAY 1” of the Industry Event will consist of SECRET or higher, in-person targeted sessions for Naval Aviation North Stars BAA topics between Industry and representatives and is open to participants who have registered in advance for these sessions. Attendance must be requested in advance via the registration site. Attendees interested in registering for these sessions will be asked during the registration process to choose which sessions apply to their technology areas.

DAY 2 Details – 20 February 2025 – Technical Interchange Meetings/Sessions (At Minimum, SECRET Clearance Required)

 “DAY 2” of the Industry Event will consist of SECRET or higher, in-person targeted sessions for Naval Aviation North Stars BAA topics between Industry and representatives and is open to participants who have registered in advance for these sessions.
