NAVAIR posts C4I sources sought
On July 25, the Naval Air Systems Command posted a sources sought notice to provide non-repetitive, rapid response Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) solutions to close critical communication capability gaps (Solicitation Number: N00421-18-R-0072). Responses are due by 4:00 p.m. Eastern on August 10.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Department (AIR 184.108.40.206), Patuxent River, MD is posting this Sources Sought to determine the interest in this requirement and determine if that interest warrants a full and open competition or a small business set-aside for support to NAWCAD Exterior Communication (EXCOMM). Locations include primarily within Continental United States (CONUS) locations; completion of some projects will require travel to Outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
NAWCAD Special Communications Missions Solutions (SCMS) Division (AD-4.11.4), located at Webster Field Annex, St. Inigoes, MD integrates and delivers products for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems. The purpose of this announcement is to provide the research and development, evaluation, engineering, integration, testing, logistics, alteration, installation, training, and hardware support services necessary for the SCMS Division to provide non-repetitive, rapid response Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) solutions to close critical communication capability gaps. Support provided will be primarily in response to the needs of the Department of the Navy, however, requirements may come from other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies as well as non-DoD Federal Agencies.
This requirement is a follow-on procurement to task order N00178-14-D-4018-M806 and mirror task order N00178-14-D-4018-M811, currently being performed by BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services of Rockville, Maryland. The existing task order is a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) effort. This task order is due to expire 03 September 2020.
