NAVAIR MDC5ISR RFP is days away
On October 15, the Naval Air Systems Command posted an update regarding the AIR-4.11 Mobile Deployable Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Systems and Subsystems (MDC5ISR) solicitation.
The purpose of this announcement is to inform industry that the final MDC5ISR Request for Proposal (RFP) is anticipated to be posted to FedBizOpps within the next 7-14 days.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division (AD-4.11.4), located at St. Inigoes, MD, integrates and delivers products for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems. SCMS has technical authority over a number of C5ISR capabilities, including Mobile Deployable (MD) C5ISR products comprising of Special Operation Forces (SOF) and Consequence Management Vehicles, small craft, transportable communication systems, en-route communication systems, and intra-platform systems.
The contractor shall provide operational systems customization and engineering/technical services for implementation, from concept through deployment, of MD systems. These products include legacy, current, and next generation MD systems and the program planning, design, development, integration/kitting, verification, logistics and in-service support of those systems, subsystems, and components. While contract performance will take place primarily at Continental United States (CONUS) locations, completion of some task orders will require travel to Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations. The goal of the contract is to obtain in-depth C5ISR expertise to provide SCMS customers, including Special Operation Forces (SOF), Homeland Security and other DOD and non-DOD agencies the ability to rapidly develop/employ C5ISR capabilities in support of the Global War on Terror.
