NAVAIR issues sources sought for special operations C5ISR support
On May 23, the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command posted a sources sought notice for Special Operations Forces C5ISR projects (Solicitation Number: N00421-17-R-0003). Responses are due no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on June 7.
The Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), AIR-2.5.1.3, at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to procure, on a competitive basis, the services necessary to provide system engineering services for the NAWCAD and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), St. Inigoes, Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division to perform tasks in support of assigned Special Operations Forces (SOF) C5ISR projects. These projects will include: requirements definition; integration, installation verification/validation; and operation and sustainment.
The NAWCAD SCMS Division at St. Inigoes is engaged in the integration and delivery of products for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems. SCMS has provided engineering, integration and technical C5ISR support to SOF for over 30 years, acting as the single focal point for the portfolio of high visibility programs for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) customer, Component Commands and the SOF user community. The SCMS Division’s mission is to obtain a combination of in depth Special Operations experience/expertise and C5ISR expertise to provide SCMS and the Special Operations Community the ability to rapidly develop/employ and support C5ISR Capabilities in support of SOF’s Mission to lead the Global War on Terror.
