MDA releases MIOES RFI
On August 15, the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) posted the Integration & Operations for Enterprise Solutions (MIOES) request for information (RFI). Responses are due by 12:00 p.m. Mountain on October 14.
This request for information (RFI) is issued for the purpose of conducting tactical market research for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Integration and Operations for Enterprise Solutions (MIOES) contract. This is the follow-on contract to the current Integrated Research & Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
This market research will assist the MDA with identifying interested and capable sources and developing its acquisition strategy for the MIOES contract. Key market research goals include gaining knowledge of commercial practices, identifying and minimizing barriers to competition, identifying and maximizing small business opportunities, identifying risks, identifying potential requirements definition and contract construct alternatives, identifying appropriate request for proposal and contract terms and conditions, and identifying potential evaluation discriminators and evaluation approaches.
The MIOES acquisition seeks to enable stakeholders to achieve Missile Defense (MD) mission objectives by providing an efficient and flexible, multi-purpose, capabilities-based contract(s) to execute objectives in the following technical areas: Enterprise Information Environment, and Research Development Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) IT Services and Solutions, Missile Defense System (MDS) Mission IT Support and Solutions, MDS Mission Operations, MD Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) Facility Operations and Sustainment, and Systems Engineering & Integration.
