Matt Southmayd named vice president commercial markets for Cognitio Corp.

cognitio 112Cognitio Corp. of McLean, VA announced on February 19 that Matt Southmayd has been appointed as a member of the leadership team as Vice President of Commercial Markets. In his new role, Matt will focus on growing Cognitio’s commercial business, and will be responsible for managing sales efforts, fostering strategic alliances, and working closely with senior leadership to develop future product offerings.

Prior to this appointment, Matt spent 12 years at Gartner Inc., the world’s largest research and advisory firm for information technology products and services, where he was highly successful in various commercial sales capacities.  Matt developed business across multiple vertical market segments, working closely with senior executives to identify and solve key business challenges. “Getting the quality of a performer like Matt is an incredible victory for Cognitio.
