Lumen names Josh Finke public sector SVP
Josh Finke—a veteran networking industry executive with 25 years of technology leadership experience in networking, security, cloud, artificial intelligence and communications—has joined Lumen Technologies as senior vice president, public sector.
Finke leads Lumen’s multifunctional, customer-facing organization responsible for sales, business development, capture management, and the program management office, with accountability for the Public Sector team’s overall go-to-market strategy and profit and loss. The Lumen Public Sector business encompasses the federal government, state and local government, military agencies, K-12 schools, research and education institutions, healthcare, and public safety organizations.
“I’m incredibly excited to bring my expertise and leadership in technology innovation to Lumen’s successful public sector team, where our industry-leading fiber network, managed security and collaboration services, and digital platforms are establishing the backbone for the AI revolution, digital inclusion and flexible network consumption models that agencies are working hard to implement,” Finke said. “We’re committed to being excellent mission partners. My background includes selling the first FedRAMP-certified unified communications platform to the federal government after years of partnership in design and implementation, and successfully selling and implementing mission transformation solutions to all levels of government customers.”
Finke’s experience spans the enterprise, mid-market and public sector segments, with an in-depth focus on government agencies. He has held leadership positions at Compucom as chief solutions officer, at Zones as chief strategy officer, at Iron Bow as vice president, advanced and emerging technologies, and with leading integration and consulting leaders.
