Kepler names Caitlin Marsh president of Kepler US

On October 5, Kepler Communications US, a subsidiary of Kepler Communications Inc., announced the appointment of Caitlin Marsh as president of Kepler Communications U.S. Marsh will lead the company’s U.S. growth, bringing Kepler’s proven optical data relay infrastructure, on-orbit compute, and hosted payload capabilities to government and commercial customers with increasingly time-sensitive mission requirements.

Kepler’s U.S. expansion builds on proven performance in orbit, including successful SDA-compatible optical demonstrations between spacecraft, space-to-ground connectivity across multiple continents, and space-to-air optical links from low Earth orbit. With 33 satellites launched to date and its first tranche of optical data relay infrastructure in operation, Kepler is delivering mission data in real time and providing operational infrastructure that allows new sensors, payloads, and applications to access connectivity and compute without waiting for a dedicated spacecraft or complete constellation to be developed.

“Mission operators need proven optical infrastructure on orbit they can put to work today,” said Mina Mitry, CEO and co-founder of Kepler. “Kepler has established global leadership in optical data relay, and Caitlin will lead our efforts to bring those capabilities to more U.S. customers. She has a strong track record building teams and delivering complex programs, combined with the energy and fresh perspective to accelerate our growth.”

Marsh brings 15 years of experience building and scaling advanced technology businesses and programs across aerospace, national security and commercial markets. Most recently, as Senior Director of Global Operations at Auterion, she directed execution of corporate strategy across product, programs and customer success for U.S. and European teams. She established and scaled a U.S.-based production line, delivering a $47 million international security initiative from award to delivery in just six months.

Previously, Marsh held leadership roles at SpiderOak and Ball Aerospace spanning product development, enterprise strategy and advanced systems program development. At In-Q-Tel, she managed a portfolio of 12 technology companies and worked with U.S. intelligence and defense customers to bring commercial innovations into operational use. That experience will support Kepler’s efforts to deepen U.S. customer relationships, strengthen industry partnerships and deliver capabilities aligned with mission needs.

“Proven optical infrastructure and on-orbit compute capability will be essential to the next generation of U.S. space missions, and Kepler is positioned to lead this market,” said Marsh. “With operational infrastructure and the ability to host payloads for real-time, high-bandwidth connectivity from LEO, our priority is to accelerate adoption across government and commercial programs. We will drive that expansion by growing our U.S. organization, strengthening industry partnerships, and putting Kepler’s capabilities to work on our customers’ most demanding missions.”
