Kenneth Wainstein confirmed to lead DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis

On June 10, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines released the following statement on the confirmation of Kenneth L. Wainstein as Under Secretary of Homeland Security for Intelligence and Analysis:
“On behalf of the Intelligence Community (IC), I warmly welcome Kenneth L. Wainstein to the IC and congratulate him on his Senate confirmation to lead the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A). I cannot think of a better person to take on this leadership role.”
“Ken is a former Homeland Security Advisor and experienced public servant, and I look forward to working with him as he fulfills I&A’s critically important mission, which includes the sharing of timely and actionable intelligence with State, Local, Tribal and Territorial, and private sector partners in support of our national security.”
