Karyn Hayes-Ryan joins Deep Water Point’s Intelligence Community team

Deep Water Point, based in McLean, VA announced on October 10 that Karyn Hayes-Ryan has joined the company as a principal in their Intelligence Community (IC) sector team. Hayes-Ryan is a senior business development and management leader with over 30 years of experience executing major Department of Defense (DoD) and IC acquisitions. She has managed national program operations and resources, as well as staffed and led strategy and operations organizations. Her targeted focus area will include dramatically growing clients’ market share in the IC and cyber security sectors.

Hayes-Ryan brings her extensive experience in intelligence, serving most recently as Component Acquisition Executive/Director of Acquisition Services for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). She led and managed a 900-plus member acquisition workforce and oversaw all NGA acquisition functions, directed acquisition policy and provided programmatic and technical oversight for architectures and acquisitions. She previously oversaw all program and IT as the NGA Director of IT Oversight and Deputy Component Acquisition Executive. She had also been responsible for acquisition, execution and oversight of all contracts for commercial imagery, data, products and services.

As an executive at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), she was the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, responsible for NRO strategic direction, acquisition, and operational activities and collaboration with NGA and the National Security Agency. Prior to that, as Deputy Chief of the Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) Directorate, she developed and executed IMINT and GEOINT strategy and acquisition and managed day-to-day operations.
